This tutorial is for Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC (i.e. Dells, HPs) or Pocket PC phones (O2s, Dopods, Telus' UTstarcoms, HPs, or the new Treo 670s). This shows you how to set up your Mecca eHosting.ca's POP3 or IMAP4 email account.

To set up a new account:

1) Tap Start > Messaging.

2) Tap Menu > Tools > New Account.

3) Enter your e-mail address (i.e. example@mecca.ca), and tap Next.

  • Windows Mobile's Auto configuration attempts to download necessary e-mail server settings so that you do not need to enter them manually.

4) Enter your name (the name you want displayed when you send e-mail), your username, and your password.

5) Select Account type: POP3 or IMAP4. Then tap Next.

6) Enter incoming email: Refer to Welcome Email's Email Server Settings
outgoing email: Refer to Welcome Email's Email Server Settings
            domain: Leave Blank

7) Tap on Options, Go Next, check "Outgoing mail requires authentication"

8) Tap finish.
