FrontPage 2003's FTP Tutorial

FrontPage 2003 - Publish Site.

CAUTION: Use this option ONLY if you have previously edited and made your site on FrontPage 2003 and this is your FIRST time publishing to our our eHosting.ca server.


If this is the subsquent time you would like to republish or edit content to your files on the remote server, please refer to THIS tutorial.

 

1. Launch "Microsoft FrontPage" and open the web site you have created on your computer.

2. From the menu at the top of your FrontPage, select "File" --> "Publish Site"

A new window will pop up and select "FrontPage or SharePoint Services" and enter http://www.yourdomain.com under the Remote Web site location. Replace yourdomain.com with your own domain name.

FrontPage will then prompt you for the username and password. Please enter your login ID and password. Note that your login information is case sensitive.


 

3. Once you are logged in, you will see the following screen.

Select the file you wish to publish (from the left hand side) and select "Local to remote" button on the bottom right and select "Publish Web site."


4. Please note that the first page of your website must be named index.htm or index.html
