More Aggressive Anti-Spamming Policies in Place

Mecca ehosting.ca does not block other mail servers with the exception that we actively block China's and Korea's IP addresses that are known to be broadcasting spams.

We have chosen to block spammers from China and Korea as these two countries abuse our network most frequently.

To determine whether an IP is owned by a spammer or not we use the country IP lists from blackholes.us in conjunction to SORBS' SPAM list and Spamhaus' SBL list.

A connection will only be rejected by our network if you are from China, Korea, or your IP address is on SORBS' SPAM and Spamhaus SBL list.

Why is my IP blocked when I am not in China or Korea?

There are circumstances that we must block a non-China/Korean IP address as it is witnessed to be broadcasting so many spams or virus to our network according to our mail server logs.

However if you believe your IP is blocked by mistake, there is a chance that the IP address you are currently assigned by your ISP is previously assigned to a spammer.

We are more than happy to whitelist your IP if this was the case.

To resolve this, please send us your IP address along with your eHosting.ca mail server to abuse@mecca.ca and we will investigate for you.
