: : E-mail & Spamming Inquiries : What do I do if I receive email that I believe is in eHosting.ca network? Print
Question:What do I do if I receive email that I believe is hosted on one of Mecca eHosting.ca servers or in the Mecca eHosting.ca network?
Answer:[*] First, make sure the sender's email is not a spoofed address by checking the headers.

(Spoofing is using a return email address which is not the valid reply address of the sender or sending an email message which does not contain enough information to enable the recipient to identify the party who is really sending the message.)

To learn how to read the message source/header of an email visit http://spamcop.net/fom-serve/cache/19.html.

[*] If you believe a Mecca eHosting.ca customer is in violation of our Use Policy, please forward the mail in question, including the headers if at all possible to abuse@mecca.ca. Our Client Care Staffs will immediately begin an investigation and will take all necessary actions required according to our Use Policy, including suspension and if deemed appropriate, termination of the violator's account.
